Vacation

I'm gone from SL for a while... going through a nice backpacking trip through Europe, namely Paris and Rome! So send me notecards, I'll get to them sometime in November.

Mesh Hair?

That's right, that's mesh hair! Can you believe it? I went to LeLutka, tried on one of the new hairs... and noticed that it seems to kind of hug my body when I move, and flow with it. And then I realized it's a mesh! Can't tell from just looking at it, can you? Looks just like all my other LeLutka hair. But if you look between the left and the right images, you can see how the hair seems to bend with my body! Amazing. Really.

Seen so many of them. Always wanted to do one. So I took my latest profile photo and Warhol'd it, so to speak. Yeah, I don't do the man justice... but it was fun anyway! Artsy-fartsy!

Autumn Chic

Ooh la la. I get to put on some super-chic clothing for autumn! Best part? TRUTH HAS HAIR BASES! It's about time, dangit! Now I can wear them with some of my hairs that don't quite cover the forehead very well, like this Odette!

Hucci

I'm such a "hucci" hurr hurrrr. Decided to give Hucci a visit and bought a few things. I think they're quite cute! Probably not that much my style, but sometimes it's refreshing to be out of one's own element...

Creamy

Feeling more and more positive about wearing autumn-y stuff! No furs yet... but soon! Very soon! Also, went to buy a pair of black ankle booties from PixelMode... Figured $600 was such a bargain compared to my usual Stiletto Moody tastes... just to find out that they came with a pair of these cream boots as well! What a happy surprise!

Not sure where this sunglasses are from, though. Got it in one of the freebie packs inside the tiny runway room The Mailing List had open a year ago.

I found an interesting thread on the SL forums of people discussing how their avatars have changed over the years. It was really kind of interesting to see some people's, especially from people that have been around from back in like 2006.. 2007... Yes, I only got here in 2009, but I thought I'd do one anyway!

Fall Mesh

I've been pretty skeptical about mesh lately... with all the dresses and pants looking essentially the same cuz they all came from the same damn mesh template maker... until I found this dress! It's from Tram, and has a demo for you to try on, of course. I just had to have it.

In fact, I had to have it so bad, that I showed up at the Destiny club in it and during my 4 hours there, I had several people offer me screenshots of how I "look" and how .. get this.. I need to fix myself. Christ on a stick, guys... You'll all get the latest apps for your iPhones and iPads, but you can't bring yourself to UPGRADE YOUR DAMN VIEWERS? Really, guys? REALLY?

Inventory Cleaning

The horrors of my "Unused Hair" folder. I finally decided to go through it. Most of the ETD hair got saved... I'm just too nostalgic for my own good. But some of the older stuff did get cut. Also... I still had hair that was made entirely out of spheres and ovals? What the hell was I thinking, even if it was free at the time...

The scary part? Some women will still look at this and go, "Well what's wrong with this hair?" In the age of Elikatira and LeLutka and Truth, why on earth would you even wear a hair like this?

I'm just sayin'...

Sweetest Goodbye

Popped into Sweetest Goodbye yesterday to check out what they might have for new Fall stuff... and was heartbroken to find that they won't be making any more new stuff... :( So I grabbed this skirt (and a few other things I've been meaning to get) and went on my way...

I hadn't been to DeeTaleZ in a long time. Turns out they have a cute little section called d.Select now, with all of this really nice, really sweet stuff like the above dress and sweater combination. I bought quite a few things, even though they are still a little too much on the summery side.

Dorkness Rising

Everyone already has their Halloween outfits out... And it's Batmans and Supermans and all sorts of other -mans. But there are other kind of geeks out there than Marvel geeks...

And that's STAR WARS geeks! Like me! Yaaay! And then there's the Harry Potter fanatics! Also like me! So as usual, I have combined my crazy love of both of those things into this year's Halloween outfits (cuz I never did them last year...).

This also seems to mean that my store is one year old! Oh my! I wonder how I will celebrate? If at all? Hmm...

Tiger

I love autumn! Finally get to wear warmer clothes and not look like a freak for doing it. Got this very cute tiger sweater from Dressing Room Blue... and then saw a girl wearing the exact same one at the Jewelry Fair. Boo. It's amazing how small SL feels sometimes.

Machinima

Well... no fancy outfits for you this week as I've been working non-stop on the new Zooby's Mesh Avatar cats. Here is my attempt at a machinima, starring the three cats currently available: White, Ginger, Black.

Toki Doki

It's like... Madonna hair straight out of Lucky Star. Just... much neater. The only issue I'm finding with these new LeLutka hairs is that she hasn't really said which hair base we should be using for the "roots" versions. Swedish roots definitely don't work with this Swedish "Bonjour" hair... Other than that, keep 'em coming! Would be nice if she release some more clothes too, though...
