I'm gone from SL for a while... going through a nice backpacking trip through Europe, namely Paris and Rome! So send me notecards, I'll get to them sometime in November.

Mesh Hair?

That's right, that's mesh hair! Can you believe it? I went to LeLutka, tried on one of the new hairs... and noticed that it seems to kind of hug my body when I move, and flow with it. And then I realized it's a mesh! Can't tell from just looking at it, can you? Looks just like all my other LeLutka hair. But if you look between the left and the right images, you can see how the hair seems to bend with my body! Amazing. Really.

Figured $600 was such a bargain compared to my usual Stiletto Moody tastes... just to find out that they came with a pair of these cream boots as well! What a happy surprise!

Not sure where this sunglasses are from, though. Got it in one of the freebie packs inside the tiny runway room The Mailing List had open a year ago.

Fall Mesh

I've been pretty skeptical about mesh lately... with all the dresses and pants looking essentially the same cuz they all came from the same damn mesh template maker... until I found this dress! It's from Tram, and has a demo for you to try on, of course. I just had to have it.

In fact, I had to have it so bad, that I showed up at the Destiny club in it and during my 4 hours there, I had several people offer me screenshots of how I "look" and how .. get this.. I need to fix myself. Christ on a stick, guys... You'll all get the latest apps for your iPhones and iPads, but you can't bring yourself to UPGRADE YOUR DAMN VIEWERS? Really, guys? REALLY?

Inventory Cleaning

The horrors of my "Unused Hair" folder. I finally decided to go through it. Most of the ETD hair got saved... I'm just too nostalgic for my own good. But some of the older stuff did get cut. Also... I still had hair that was made entirely out of spheres and ovals? What the hell was I thinking, even if it was free at the time...

The scary part? Some women will still look at this and go, "Well what's wrong with this hair?" In the age of Elikatira and LeLutka and Truth, why on earth would you even wear a hair like this?

It's like... Madonna hair straight out of Lucky Star. Just... much neater. The only issue I'm finding with these new LeLutka hairs is that she hasn't really said which hair base we should be using for the "roots" versions. Swedish roots definitely don't work with this Swedish "Bonjour" hair... Other than that, keep 'em coming! Would be nice if she release some more clothes too, though...

Monkey Business

Taking little Adrian out for a walk cuz I'm sick of him taking up prims on my parcel and not even doing anything. Doesn't he know I have two kids?!

Honey Kitty

I was at Collabor88 (new collection out today, go check it!) and saw a cute Japanese girl wearing a nice cardigan I liked. So of course I had to right-click it and Object Profile that shit! TP'd to the store and I have to say, my jaw dropped.

I have to say, I have never seen so much pink and so much cuteness all in one place in SL before. This store friggin' ROCKS, if I do say so myself. Japanese creator, cheap prices, and every shade of pastel that you could possibly want. The stuff is just downright adorable!

Highly recommend if you are into the cute candy styles.

Mesh Jumper

Finally, some mesh clothes that don't all look the templates from the one guy that makes them on Marketplace! This awesome jumper/tracksuit thing is from Hucci and available in The Dressing Room's current collection. Cheap and awesome, go check it out!

Only problem I had was that out of all the sizes included, none of them really fit MY butt size. But I picked the one that fit my boobs the best and just went with it. The difference is really not that big. The good part is that it also comes with a size for the REALLY curvy girls with the corn-fed booties. So if that's you, this mesh is for you!

I think I made the new Knotty Sweater outfits for Sweet Penelope exactly with this Atomic top in mind. I think it's so adorable when mommies and daughters have matching outfits. New things! Gawk released some really adorable shirts yesterday. Prim strings and shoulder ruffle things! And of course ample cleavage (or there wouldn't be anything to Gawk at, now would there?).

And for the 50L Friday today Miel had a very cute watch in two different colour schemes. And it scripted to tell what time it is where you are! Now I can look at my watch and see what time it is in London! ...not that I couldn't just look at the bottom of my screen and see it. But that's besides the point. COOL WATCH, Y'ALL!

Mesh Clothing

Been doing some researching into meshes. Saw a store that actually has quite a few women's clothes in mesh out already! Picked up this sweatshirt as well as a dress, skirt, and a pair of shorts.

It's amazing how well this mesh moves. No more prims sticking out of your elbows or through your stomach because you happened to pick a pose that doesn't quite work with your outfit.

Of course the options for mesh clothes are still pretty limited and probably will be for a while, since you actually need to know some kind of 3D software like Maya to make them. And I have a feeling it's probably not even practical to start wearing mesh because everyone and their grandmother are still using the old Phoenix which doesn't even support mesh...

But damn does it look fuckin' COOL. Go to the store. Try on the demos. It's SL evolution.

Mama says it's some kind of weird "Braxton Hicks" contractions, though, cuz nothing is happening yet. So here I sit at home with my first beautiful child... hoping I don't pee all over myself in these fabulous clothes. Cuz this is pretty much the last outfit I have left before I don my hospital gown; nothing else fits anymore.

And Penelope is wear [*SP*] Shabby Pink. Thought I'd add that in there!

... I hope I get to keep these boobs. Cuz they look fabulous. >.>

Week 8

I'm getting friggin' HUGE. And that's not the final belly size, either... Christ. Well, 4 days to go! And then I can try to fit into my skinny clothes again, if I haven't stretched all of them out...

Tummy Talkers & AOs?

So this isn't my first baby rodeo. But in the year and change since Penny was born, there have been quite a few little changes to the SL pregnancy technology available to us moms.

Which begs the question... why the HELL are so many moms still using utter shit tummy talkers and AOs? Do you guys not know that there are better things out there? If that's the case, then read on! I would like to share with you the things that I've found to be the best in SL to date.

Week 7 - #4

Trying a new layout for the scrapbook. Close-up is edited, while full body is not. I'm definitely loving this new hair from Truth.

Was visiting RandoMuseum when I had to take a little break and sit down (because my awesome tummytalker yells at me if I don't). Thank goodness they had this adorable chair in the corner of the museum.
